After seeing the post below about someone who has a nice yard but had found one nearer and as nice if not better I just wanted people's experiences of finding a good yard.
I have kept my horse in the same area for 12 years and in that time I have moved yards a couple of times - the ones of old have since closed. At the moment I am looking for a new yard as over the past year or so the yard I am at has gone downhill to the point that the fields are so overstocked my horse is thinner than he was coming out of the winter!
I have advertised in the adtrader but always get people who are too far away calling. I have thought about putting a notice on my trailer when I go to shows but again these are normally 20-30 miles from where I want to keep him.
Obviously there are yards near me but none that I would want to move to for various reasons!
So any ideas as to find grazing / livery in my area?
I am in March, Cambridgeshire if anyone wants a nice well behaved gelding on livery with his well behaved mummy for company!
