Finding South View! From M6 J18

I'm going to South View next week and just wondering how straightforward it is to find. The directions on their website are different to the ones the route planners come up with but I'm assuming it's more sensible to follow the ones on the website (stay on A54 through Winsford then turn onto B5074 past pub called the Old Star)?

If anyone is familiar with the route and can let me know if there are any pitfalls I would be grateful. Don't have satnav so have to memorise routes before I set out..
 
Not been for a long time, can't help with the Winsford bit but I think you turn right opposite Old Star pub (remember that cos the horse in the pub sign looks like a welsh cob daughter used to share) then you stay on that road until you get to South View which is on the right.
