I am moving yards on Sunday and have to strip everything that I have put up - nothing unusual there- I hear you say but when they say evert thing it is even down to the automatic water feeder that I bought and installed in the stable.

When I rung to ask would the farm be interested in having it I was told "no we have no use for it"

My old stable will become the only one in the block without a water feeder...

Is it just me that finds this thinking so odd.

i find that very odd.
At my old yard I was told that anything that i fitted in the stables would have to be left in place if I moved yards.

I expect they don't want it left as then they would be responsible for it and maintaining it.
Much easier to make new livery either a) provide and maintain their own or b) use a bucket.

How much harder when they have 5 other stables with feeders in? They won't supply one, they didn't when I asked, which is why I bought my own. They don't maintain anything unless they are really really pushed

I suspect you've answered your own question then. Perhaps they didn't put the others up; or have discovered the "hassle" they cause so don't want to be responsible for another one.
