Just sold the first yearling to a super girl from Cornwall, and best of all it will stay her another year. She chose Venus that elegant grey who has wonderful paces for dressage and is a really friendly filly.
The three year old has hopefully been sold too to a nice fairly local girl, who I liked on sight, but she has yet to ride her so am not counting on that completely as yet.
I have removed one foal from the ad as now I know he is liver chesnut I don't want to sell him, I've been trying to breed that colour for years! I love a 16hh liver chesnut, they shine so beautifully. (his breedings' pretty hot too so not the only reason I'm keeping him)
Now if I can just sell another couple, I can not worry about the two grand contractors bill I'm likely to get this week for haylage making, the bonus of extra crop means extra charges for wrapping and baling...
Sometimes it must be great to have just one horse's bills to worry about

It is brilliant that things are looking up Venus is a very good looking filly, I hope all goes well and the second person likes the 3yro.
Sorry I may have missed the update but how is the youngster who became injured after attempting to jump the gate?

Thanks, Lucia is bandaged heavily and turned out with Charlie the 36 year old shetland, she is on a-b and the vet will return this week. If the swelling has reduced he will try and stitch the skin together, as it was five hours after the injury it had swollen too much by then, but of course I hadn't been able to catch her! (walks up to me now doesn't she the minx..)
I can't believe the damage to the gate,it was a really solid square heavy metalled one, unlike modern gates, yet she's bent it totally.

oh i hope you are all ok HH.....its been all a bit manic here....what happened to lucia (been away form the forum for a little while!)

I hope it all works out well now, bles she must be feeling very guitly with herself.
Aye I woudln't be suprised we have a number of old gates as well as modern one, and oue of the old ones was totaly mangled when a cow made a bid for freedom!
Hopefully the gate came off worse then she did!
