So as some may know I have been in wiltshire for this past year and Frank still resides in Somerset with MummyEster, in part because we weren't sure if he would stay sound, it was easier, job was only 6 months to start, then work was possibly being bought out etc.

As we have now been told we shouldn't be going anywhere for a year and Frank is sound I decided that I would investigate some livery yards locally and see if anywhere would be worth considering. A few have hacking which is possibly a bit too stoney for him/not great fencing etc but I found somewhere near work with nice stables, nice arena, nice fields and all off road forestry hacking if you want it, nice YO who rides to a good level and could probably be persuaded to teach I reckon, albeit unfortunately currently half an hour away from home (but being the sort of pony mad mug that I am I figured if it worked out I could move, although the area is generally more expensive :p ).

Spoke to YO this evening to say that if we can sort him moving and what to do with MummyEster's horse then I wanted the stable but we needed to sort some logistics and she said oh yeah I meant to ring you... we have a flat as part of the house which is coming available soon if you wanted it... So I could go back to having F on my doorstep...

Obviously I said yes interested, could we hang on until next week as will have better idea by then (need to check in with vet re. his willy treatments as still has a possible cancerous area but mostly just let MummyE get her head round it ;) - I think she'll just miss having his antics to complain about! )- oh and it would be cheaper so essentially be same as current place + livery I think.

So this could actually work out quite nicely (have a friend checking out they aren't crazy axe murderers .... :D ).

Will update ;) :D

Don't know if you still need it, but just in case, I crossed my fingers for you.

MummyEster sorted :D, first month's livery put down on stable, looked at flat today and although a little small will definitely be serviceable- is cheaper than current place and nearer work, in a lovely village spot and on yard so bit of a no brainer ;).

Pretty :D.

He won't be moving until October though as we have a couple of showing champs to do first which are nearer somerset and a vet treatment on the willy to fit in :).

So I've now been here for 3 weeks and Frank for 2 - and he is doing a good job of settling in for a bit of a stressy head welsh (having pandered to his abandonment complex whenever anyone else comes in, regardless of how many friends remain so him and fellow neurotic now come in first *rolleyes).

Managed to get everything necessary into the flat and the space is actually working better than I thought it might. The yard is lovely, it's fab having an arena (first time ever!) and the hacking is just amazing- you don't have to hit a road is you don't want to, there are soo many more ROW here than back in somerset. We hit our first proper solo explore this afternoon :D
