Am flying to Edinburgh tomorrow to go see a clydie mare. It is rather soon after Cairo, but I saw her and she seems to be a young female version of the old man.

Praying she will be what we want, Andy for the first time since Cairo died is looking a little happier, then he goes very sad as he thinks he is betraying Cairo's memory.

I truely believe a new horse will help him and from a selfish point of view, Chancer needs a new field mate to groom and love.

I have taken a gamble, she is booked in for vetting tomorrow and all being well, transport on Friday to Essex. Thanks for the recommendations from you.

If she is the one, pics etc will be posted. Why do I have have an OH who only wants a clyde - rare breed and all seem to be the other end of the country.

Reading your post has had me in tears for the grand old man. I am so sorry for your loss.

RIP Big man!!

But I wish you all the luck for your trip tomorrow, and my fingers will be firmly crossed that all is well.
