Well - thank you for the apology. That is not always easy to do - especially on a subject on which you feel as strongly as you obviously do.

The problem with the written word is that we cannot give it the inflection we might if we were having a face to face conversation where we can lighten the emphasis or guage another's reaction to it. As an aged dinosaur I find it even more noticeable as we use Forums like this, or FB or texts and am constantly reminded of the quote my English tutor used to use - The moving finger writes and having writ moves on and all thy piety nor wit can call it back to cancel half a line, nor all thy tears wash out a word of it. (Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam).

Sorry to get so philosophical so early in the day but I do believe our modern methods of communication are so often a barrier to really good debate and understanding.
