I've been offered an ifor Willams at a really good price. The issue is it was close to a barn fire recently, only visible damage is that the rear lights are slightly melted and it needs a really good clean as hasn't been used for a while (horse was lame)
What other parts could be effected by heat/smoke?

Electrics could be damaged, best thing would be to have it serviced, which I would do anyway for peace of mind

Should add that it has been used once since fire. Electrics fine but the horse had a heart attack, no idea if this was related to the trailer or coincidental.

Some matirals esp plastic give of nasty fumes and chemicals if they are heated /burnt , so you need to be sure all of this is washed off and that the afected parts have'nt been weakned, heat may have afected glue and sealants so the roof or joints may leak!!!!
its no problem to replace the lights and wiring, but you realy need to get the structure and tyres checked by a compitant person ....
