Fireworks - how are we doing?

It's not just fireworks with our two, we have quite a lot of shooting around us, and they cower with that - we can't even have the window open when it goes on.
They also don't like low flying aircraft.
However, they are from Romania, and we know they didn't have the best starts as the wire scar around one of their legs proves.

The single random fireworks are so annoying! Ivy was with my mum for bonfire night as we were away. It was probably better there than at ours as we're in a more built up area. Mum waited up late so Ivy could go in garden after the fireworks and then bam! Just one randomly went off, couldn't get her back in the garden and Ivy ended up having an accident in the house as she hadn't had a chance to go outside before the firework went off. Even if people try to desensitise, how can you do that if you have absolutely no way of dodging/predicting situations like this!

Just had three go off that sound like bombs. Terrified dogs and nothing I could do to prepare for this, totally unexpected. Really not impressed, would like to get my hands on whoever let them off.

We had a huge fireworks display last night at the local airfield which I wasn’t expecting. Both boys were fine this morning so I am much more chilled about it than I have been in the past especially as DP is truly terrified of loud bangs.

The sooner they ban private sales of fireworks the better for those with sound sensitive dogs, cats and horses.
