Signed. Unfortunately, I don't suspect they will do much. Same petition gets raised every year and their excuse is usually to do with avoiding a black market and consequently having more dangerous fireworks being sold.

Why they can't limit the public to silent fireworks on designated days is beyond me. It's really not difficult to find an appropriate middle ground (not that I believe 'pretty lights' should even be a consideration in comparison to the distress caused to animals, just typical human selfishness).

I don’t know the answer but shops seem to be fairly responsible with selling fireworks now so I assume that the misused ones are being bought online. Is that market possible to stop otherwise it’s all a waste of time complaining every year.

The point is that a ban on fireworks being sold to the public would result in shops not selling them - people would only be able to buy them from dodgy dealers where no regulations are in place for their manufacturing. Of course, it would reduce the amount of people who purchase them, since most people don't want to break the law. But the people who do have some belief of entitlement will purchase them illegally, and those fireworks will be more dangerous than the ones we have now.

The point of a ban isn't because of misuse at the moment, it is simply that the use of fireworks in general creates far more problems than benefits.
