Just interested of what you guys are all doing ! Mine are in a village and being held a few hundred yards away but no stables so field kept. One of mine so hides in his trees and very much like 'if i cant see them then they aren't there' he is 26 though... Other one is drugged on calmer as she is quite frisky anyway! :) :o

Precisely the same as three out of the last four nights when there have been large displays going on. That is to say I pop in to check them, find that out of six only one (normally the most sensible) is at all bothered, administer a handful of carrots all round, watch as the slightly upset one forgets all about it and then go out and leave them to it.

Standing in field with horse next to me admiring the free display. Horse bemused by them unless its the big display in the field behind his when he can get a little twitchy.

We had a large display close to the yard this evening, those horses that have stables facing the fireworks either ignored them or just watched with their ears pricked - those opposite that couldn't see just looked very jealous!

Rode bareback with fireworks all around. Horse wasn't bothered. I think she missed her calling as a Civil War reenactment horse.

Both of mine are stabled anyway....but never seem to care

However they live next to a pig farm, arable land with bird guns, and a factory! Bangs are not a problem for us!!!

There are a few houses around the field but no one has fireworks so that's ok. Ours are used to guns (shooting in the next field) so take no notice of loud bangs. Even when they were near fireworks and we have stayed with them, they don't seem to mind.

Nothing different - mine don't bother! In fact we took Alf for a lesson at a local indoor school with fireworks going off all round us - not worried at all, loaded perfectly in the dark and did some brilliant work!

Mine are out tonight; as usual. Luckily we don't have any loons with fireworks in the village (yet!) so always very peaceful around here.

Traddie boy was kept at a yard about a mile away from where the military train, where they have a firing range - so is/was perfectly OK with that sort of noise; mare is a sensible lass and won't give a hoot.

So, both out.

Three of them are in, one of them is out. None of them even flickered at the sound of the popping.. The one that is out actually stood watching them - but she watches airplanes, helicopters and birds in the sky on a daily basis anyway...

Was very impressed with silly mare last night - thought it wasnt wise to ride but I have a lesson on Thursday and dont want her to be too fresh otherwise it will just be a bucking session, so decided to lunge with some pole work, around 7pm when all fireworks were going off.

Big display to the right hand side of the menage (couldnt see them thankfully but lots of loud bangs and music), and various people's backgarden displays to the left of the mengage which were visible. She stood watching them with me bless her after we had finished our session and wasnt at all bothered, she seemed quite fascinated really! Noises didnt upset her either, and they were very loud with a huge organised display going on.

So for a mare that spooks at her own shadow and takes random dislikes to things she has been trotting past for the last 1/2 hour, she did really well!

I've ridden with them going off in the background too. Ponies don't care. No displays very close to current field though. In previous places they've been very close so they're used to them.
