This is my first fireworks season with my 3 year old mare, and for the last 2 nights her personality has changed completly from a chilled laid back donkey to stress-head horse, I've been bringing her in as normal, nothing at all has changed, grooming, feeding her and then turning her out. But she is mad, won't eat unless i'm in the stable with her, snorting at shadows, box walking manically and leaning right over her stable door then almost choking herself! I'm wondering if the few fireworks that have already been going off have upset her already? She seems fine when I check her in the morning. Anyone elses horses acting odd?

I don't have a horse, but I suspect a lot of horses get worried about the fireworks. They don't see the pretty lights and explosions, they just hear the loud bangs and that scares them.
Not sure what you can do to help your horses though. Sorry.

My friends gelding gets very stressed by them and exibits similar symtoms.
