Well, in reality firle wasnt happening yesterday when harvey lost a shoe and the farrier refused to come out- but mum realised there would be one at the event

Got there in too much good time and because of delays i had a 50 min dressage warm up. I wanted to go in after 15 minutes! As a result he got bored and did a rather uninspiring test. The trot work was all fab, with pretty much all 7s; but he was against me in the canter and this meant 5s!

unhappy me. For the 4th time in a row we got 1 38- consistent or what!? But i think he can definitely get low 30s on a good day now

On to the Show Jumping. Again there were massive delays, this time i switched off and half missed att the first fence and missed at the next 2; but harvey leapt over them! we got into a good rhythm and he cleared everything by a foot for a second clear on the trot! consistent (ly good this time) again! I was so proud and it seems Mr. Powells 'grueling' lessons really have paid off!

Onto the XC which was not out sort of course, there was no flow and you couldnt keep a rhythm. My damned watch didnt start so i decided to go for a steady clear to get another point... i galloped the easy stuff though and took 2 alternatives as they came after tricky fences as he was unbalanced. SO finished with 9 time but super pleased and after his tough summer hes fittened up- hardly broke a sweat!

So we got our second point, and an added bonus is that we got 8th! I got given a whisky glass thing too, it seems Britain's now encouraging underage drinking!

Off next to SOE and tweseldown novices, then hopefully to finish the season at aldon 2 day
