Me and Rew went off for our first competition today, very friendly and fun, there were two competitions, jumping and steeplechase, we all had a practise run and then a ‘real’ run. Rew came out like a rocket typical exuberant lurcher thing, and we had fun but wouldn’t have troubled the judge! Our proper go was much better, the only thing I did wrong was put him in the weaves wrong shoulder first. Then steeplechase which is jumps and tunnels, very fast and lots of circles, good fun again.

we gained a 3rd rosette in the jumping and are both exhausted!

Fab Stuff!!

If you need a giggle you can search and see Mrs Collie's first and so far only go at an agility comp. Not been back to one since!

Well done!!!!!
I have recently done my first few unaffiliated Agility shows with my youngster.
I found it terribly nerve wracking and I am going to stick with shows that have properly fenced in rings for the moment.
Not that I don't trust him or anything ?‍♀️

Thank you! Ours was in an indoor school which does make it safer. I don’t get nervous about it, just great fun!

I think I get nervous because I don't want to let the dog down. I used to be exactly the same with the horses SJ and xc.
I don't worry so much with my older dog because I know she won't do anything dreadful like run out of the ring, and she's just out for a good time....if I mess up she just does her own thing.
The younger dude is more sensitive, and really wants to get it right. He's also way too fast for me, lol. It's going to be a lot of fun when we have a bit more experience!
