My horse first aid kit is a very full, 84 litre stacking box! I have all sorts of gels and creams like flamazine, dermagel, aloe gel, cornucrescine, germoline, wound powder....multiples of all of these, and probably more that I forget about!
Hibiscrub
treatplast
2x pressage badages
fleece bandages
vet wrap
cotton wool
animalintex
wound dressings
cotton wool bandages
syringes
scissors
pliers
teatree oil
sedalin
green clay and sliver
seal to heal
dantrium (for when he ties up - he has a problem!)
thermometer
Add salt and a clean container (for making saline solution for cleaning things without stinging).
That was what I have been told by the vet to use to clean a wound rather than hibiscrub or similar. It is also cheaper! No chemicals to interfere with anything else either.
right, for horses I seem to have a collection that could supply a medium sized vet practice:
vet wrap
bandages
animalintex
intrasite gel and comformable
dermoline
hibiscrub
Dettol
antibiotic in powder and injection
Finadyne
Buscopan
syrunges and needles
sedalin
domosedan gel
bute
saline solution
hoof clay
skin lotions, including steroidal
and a million other things in my magic cabinet
for humans, I have some plasters, paracetamol and ibuprofen... and a bottle of gin
