first aid

How many of you carry a first aid kit with you when your riding/hacking?
What do you have in it?
How do you carry it?

I go out for 3-4 hour hacks in the woods by myself and seriously need to look into this as if anything happened, I have no supplies with which to treat anything.

Any information at all is appreciated, thanks

i have all manner of crud in my pockets which could be cobbled together in an emergency. penknife, string, clean tissue etc. i can use bits of clothing either if needed.

having had to tape up my old dogs when they faught, i got quite resourceful

I have them everywhere! horse and human.
In the tack room, trailer, car, feed room, on my saddle (when hacking) in my pocket!
on hacks I carry plasters,bandage,gauze swabs,tape,sterile water,wound dressing.
I carry it in a small camera case which can fit to saddle or belt or a pocket.

i have a big first aid box at the yard and a mini one at the yard (small one for hacking) i have one at home and always carry a bandage and scissors in my handbag. just incase of accident while im out and about.

my big one at the field has

purple spray, hibby scrub and anti bac gel for my hands,
rubber gloves (marigolds) and latex gloves
scissors a pen knife
self stick bandages and normal bandages
cotton wool and tissue
plasters
savalon and TCP
clingfilm
duct tape
sudocream
and vasaline
along with paracetamol
and a pack of energy tablets

my hacking one has 3 bandages a mini purple spray bottle some mini scissors
cotton wool and some energy tablets i put it in a little back pack along with a drink and my camera (for the nice pics we can take on our hacks) and my mobile ofcourse just incase i always carry bail band and a lead rope too.

Riding and leading years ago, sis wanted a go, immediatly let Lottie nip her mare, queue lottie with a nasty cut leg.

Bandaged her with my scarf and I led her home, I usually have treats and tissues in my pockets and could deal with small incidents, never really gave it much thought tbh. Longer hacks I tend to take a leadrope but not much else.
