Having booked the farrier and vet to visit tomorrow and being first call for farrier (8-15) I like the horses to be dry and mud free for him, I made my first beds for this year, intending to keep the horses in tonight and clean mud off tomorrow, because our stables get wet in heavy rain, I have put a base layer of shavings down with a straw bed on top, I could sleep in their beds myself, they feel really soft underfoot.
Anyway, I finish and wait for the horses to come back, they beggared off when I wouldn't give them hay and the farrier phoned to reschedule (bummer)
A pointless post, I just had forgotten how nice it is making a bed up
