First BSJA - Merrist Wood yesterday

Ok took Gadget to my first BSJA show yesterday at Merrist Wood !! a friend of mine Mark rode him for me as he needs more confidence in the ring and im just not strong enough - so he is going to ride him over the next few weeks then i can take over !!

Well Sunday i clipped his face and legs out and smartened him up so he looked a posh pony !! there was a big B&C qualifier on and BN and Disc wernt till later in the day !!

We left the yard at 4.30pm !!! the M25 was a nightmare and it took us 1 1/2 hours to get there - he warmed up well but was really looky went in and just had one stop at the second fence but jumped brilliantly !!

Then warmed up better for disc went in and had 4 faults !! we got some lovely photos - then back on the lorry for home !!

Driving home (it was 9.30pm) got a phone call from Mark to say that loads of people got eliminated so Gadget came 3rd !!!!!! Im so pleased with my pony - they really wacked the fences up (i think to get rid of a few people)

So out this sunday next tuesday and the weekend after - gadget wont know what has hit him !!! xx

Me to its my favourite !! Thanks i wasnt that bothered at all really just wanted him to go round and get his confidence and do well x

he is only 6 but i only got him at 5 and he was j ust broken so we are a bit behind xx

So you already for Towerlands on the 17th then? My horse gets shoe back on tomorrow so fingers crossed he will be sound and can join you.

Well i must say Mark rode him amazingly and it would of been a complete different story if it had been me !! we are out sunday and tuesday and i may get mark to do the 90cm qualifier on him instead - but depends how he is going i may just do it my self !!

I know he can jump he has loads and loads of scope its just confidence he needs and im just to little to do it (need to get to the gym) xx

Thanks hun - yes very pleased !! off to Royal Leisure Sunday then Norton Heath on Tuesday xx
