Our Cleveland Bay mare gave birth to a filly foal on Friday morning. There are only 27 pure bred filly foals registered with the CBHS worldwide each year, so this is good news for the society.

2 hours old with mum in the stable.

Later that day out in the field with mum enjoying warm spring sunshine. Still having troubel controlling those leggy things.

Sunday morning video clip - yippee!! all four work!!

The sire is Affondale Highlander he is by Tregoyd Journeyman out of Baydale Tempest. Journeyman is now in USA.

We own the sire. He has just been backed and we think he will make a good dressage horse. We will post a video of him next week.

She is beautiful , Now I know what to look forwards to !!.
Youve managed to upload photos

HOW !
Am going to take some photos of Boo in a few mins so I can post them
Again Congratulations with your CBBY

Hi Fusabery,

We found it difficult to upload photos at first. If you look at 'How to use Forum" there are some step by step instructions with screens displayed. You need a photobucket account to put your pics into first.

Once you have the hang of it it get easier!!

I have sent you a pm. Yes she is full of beans and amazingly she has more speed and va va voom than our superb Shagya colt at the same age - and he is FAST.

This is our first CB foal and the breed has a reputation for being strong and powerful but slow? This is why it is believed that to make a good event horse it must be crossed with a TB. However, so few CBs compete there is very little 'data' on which to make a judgement. I would love to see a pure bred CB compete at an International Level - it WILL happen.

i had a CB TB cross which I successfully evented years ago and he was the best of both worlds, elegant and fast but calm and powerful without being hairy. Nice to see them being bred as they are a great breed with lovely qualities

Tell us about the CB lines of your CBxTB please? Also post some pics. It is so nice to hear how much you love the breed.

Oh SSM you got me worried now. Will she be less fast?

She DOES have the longest legs which gave her no end of trouble day one. But aren't they ALL (regardless of breed) simply adorable at this age? I can't drag my OH away from the paddock.
