and it seemed strange as I only had a vest top on with the sun beating down on me normally have coat and waterproofs on, only did one of mine as although his an Arab he was so fluffy and was getting very hot when ridden, it was 19 degrees here at 8pm yesterday not that I am moaning and I am quite enjoying the late sun we are having.

has anyone else been clipping?

We're on our second clip of the year already (or would be, if the clipper battery would hold a charge.) That said, my boy has quite the winter coat when I let it develop!

On a related note, does anyone clip with Lister Liberty clippers? If so, how long does your batter last? Mine 'new' (2nd hand) ones aren't holding much charge at all, which has left my poor horse with what I'd describe as a 'style statement' of a clip at the moment!

On clipping - does anyone have wisdom on how long a Lister Liberty battery should last? My 'new' (second hand) battery pack isn't impressing me so far!

Mine was going to be clipped this weekend, but I've just sent her rugs off to be cleaned and repaired, so she might have to wait until next weekend now.
It seems too soon to be clipping, but I need to get it over and done with.

I did one of mine today - he can be very tricky, so I was over the moon when he stood like a rock even when I did half his head .... SO proud of him! :D

bless him, I was very pleased with my horse too his never been great with having his head done but he let me do most of it and was much better than last year, the flies were driving him mental as well so he was a very good boy.

my boy's getting done in a couple of weeks time...he's just too damn warm to ride for any length of time, so i think i'll go for a blanket clip initially and see how he does. I don't like clipping too early as i like to try and get the whole winter out of just the one clip,...but we'll see.

I'd love to know the answer too! Yesterday I only managed a head and shoulder despite a big charge-up beforehand. My Libertys are 6 years old so the battery should be lasting?? In desperation I bought the mains adaptor as my boy is good to clip.....job done!!

Mine easily does a hunter clip on a large horse without needed to recharge, and I'm not the fastest clipper in the world!

My pony is being dressed as a unicorn on Sunday complete with pony paint and glitter so I'm waiting till after then to clip him then it doesn't matter if the paint doesn't wash off!

He will be clipped down to the knees and hocks and have them blended in as he tends to still show clip lines till June otherwise!

I can do two full clips including legs and heads with mine or two hunter clips and a half off of some description on one charge.

I did a tiny bib/strip clip this morning - I'll be doing a blanket in the next few week I think, I just can't face rugging up yet!
