Well, had a very good xmas playing ponies, ended up taking his lordship out twice.
First time was to SJAI at a new arena at portmore, absoloutely fabulous, bigger than cavan without quite as many nice facilities but great and with good surface and jumps etc. Just did the 80 and 90cm to see whether we were pshyco horse or no, glad to say no! Very civilise in the 80cm, double clear (titchy so glad of it!) . Got a bit strong in the 90cm and had one pole down, but overall very good.

Then yesterday took baby to the local horse training show. Quite amusing as he got off the box and was just like 'wow, look at all the other horses!' I did wonder if I was getting chucked straight off, but as soon as I was on we bounced around for a bit then settled right back into lazy mode. He cantered much better out in the big arena than he does at home and jumped all the jumps nicely, some interesting pics I'll put in PG as he prefers to stand off than chip in, we're working on it. Anyway, warmed up nicely and went in, the head went straight down to see the scary floor of the scary indoor (hadn't been in one before) but then listened and he jumped 2 reasonable rounds, kept falling back to trot but was otherwise good, honest, had a pole in each round (one because we had to come round a corner AND there was a jump ther

) and one because he was so busy looking at the jump after and realising he had to jump it too! But very pleased overall as he hasn't been out competing since the summer.

Took his lordship too, had to do the 90cm as not enough time (first clas finished at twelve having started at ten, there were milllions there) and he actually was slow and had a pole down, which for him is a miracle, being slow I mean!
So overall a good day, just a bit depressing coming back here with no playing ponies everyday!

Big lads round:
