First ***-course

Our horse did Blenheim as his first 3*. As much due to timing as anything much else. He did Blair & Compeigne 2*. Depends what kind of track suits your horse. Good luck.

p.s wonderful words of wisdom from me... all 3*'s are enormous anyway!!!!

All 3* are tough in the own right there is no easy first time one as al meant to be qual's for 4*. Saumur was the toughest I have done, Blenheim was decent with big atmosphere, I would say Bramham as a first time one, it is MASSIVE but not as technical as the Blenheim. Boekelo is always a good one to start at.

Bramham then would be ideal, Saumur is v technical, twisty and you need a v quick thinking horse, fences come up very quickly Blenheim is somewhere in between both fantastic galloping but does get technical, Bramham is big, wide and kick on, still some thinking questions, big double of corners, skinnies after big hedges and bounce skinny out of the water, that kind of thing!

A three star without those questions probably doesn't exist. I like the technicity as long as it is not too much. ... He's quite confident at skinnies and bounce jumps, although he doesn't like to be collected time and time again. Thanks for your advice!

Haven't you got to do 3 CIC***s before a CCI*** though? So Quazzle would need to find suitable CICs. Sarah-Jane on here has done Barroca, don't know if that would be a possibility for you Quazzle?

It is a bit far from home... Yep, I need to find a suitable CIC. I have to be qualified on CIC before moving on to CCI's. Anyway, plans for next season...

well I'm not staying in Belgium actually. I'm leaving for a French 'écurie'... close to Saumur.

Maybe Barocca next year then, it's a bit closer to portugal.

Hope to see U there 2!
