Being baled and wrapped today (almost wrapped hay) and the sun is shining 🌟 🌟 not that warm but 16 degrees is ok.
If you'd have asked me 6 weeks ago I wouldn't have thought we would have been at this stage in early June I was beginning to wonder if the grass would ever be long enough. It's amazing how quickly grass recovers .
The yield maybe a fraction down but we will see once it's baled up and wrapped how many there are.
It's a fairly early cut do will probably make another cut in early September .
Always feel relieved when the haylege is done!!!

Well done! My first field was baled on Tuesday… never been this early before. I have another lot not quite ready, hopefully a bit of rain and sun next week will bring it on

Decided to go for it and cut both fields given the strange weather we seem to be having your never sure when the next dry window will come along.!!!! 😀

Ours is being baled as I type. It has made really nicely and it is a heavy crop! We changed from MVF fertiliser to Wynstay fertiliser the difference is evident.
We have one more dry day to get it in and then forecast looks yuk!

Same here ours being baled as I type but will be wrapped as dryish haylege.
Yes one more day to get it all done .As it is being wrapped there isn't the panic to get it under cover.
Real relief when the first cut is done and in.

Jealous. We still have to wait to cut as the tractor has been laid up, with vital parts missing. The parts are now at the tractor doctors so we are in the queue for the tractor surgeon to come and fit them.
