Today Chico had his first taste of proper freedom since his colic operation 7 weeks ago.

I grazed him in hand for 20 minutes then I put him in his special little area for another 20 minutes.

He was really quiet to begin with, a bit unsure, dont think he realised he was free. After 15 minutes he got a bit on his toes and stressy so I bought him back in.

I videod it for my blog but thought i'd share it here.

I love the bit near the end where he goes all arab-esque!!

oh that is just lovely to see :-)))) well done Chico, he has done amazingly!! I had a big op 6-7 weeks ago too so I feel empathy for him, Im not doing Arab-y steps yet....he is looking great!

He's looking so much better! :) How long until he gets to go in a big field?

He has to spend 4 weeks in limited space but then he is allowed out with the others (but for limited time).

I wont be back on board until mid August though....just got to wait patiently.
