Only last night reading some of these threads particularly the dog fight one I just thought how, thank god I’ve never actually had to deal with one.
Today out walking my two little dogs I saw in the distance some women and 3 dogs so
I just called mine back and put their leads on as Cecil can be funny with other dogs unfortunately.
They made no attempt to do the same or even aknowledge we were close. Dogs, 2 big and one small came tearing towards but past us, then doubled back to us fast which did upset Cec, they shouted “it’s ok they won’t hurt them” to which I slightly rolled my eyes. Them getting hurt wasn’t really on my mind just that it’s not really great for a nervous dog on a lead to have others race up to him.
Anyhow carried on walking and with that the most horrific dog fight broke out between the two bigger dogs ? The women were yelling and screaming, the noise was horrific.
I carried on walking to get mine out the way as they are tiny in comparison.
Actually quite scary!

:eek: Crikey - in view of recent events in particular that would have had me running for the hills with my dogs too. Maybe just as well their two decided to have a fight before they had a chance to start on yours. What the heck is wrong with people thinking it is Ok to leave their dogs off lead and just shout out 'oh they are ok'??? I would be seething, so irresponsible.

Haven't the other women [with the loose dogs] read the news?

Actually I'd just finished reading the 'breaking up a dog fight thread' yesterday afternoon when my Cairn started flinging himself against the back door. I let him out to the garden and followed to see. Inches above his leaping, snarling head and wobbling uncomfortably on the fence was the biggest koala I have ever seen. Seriously, you could've saddled it up. And it had claws like scimitars.

Angas was hysterical, but he can't be harassing wildlife so I carefully, from behind picked him up and carried him inside. And mercifully he was ok with it. Sweet nature, but still a terrier.
