So off to a very civilised start, and didnt leave the yard till 12pm
so Merlin looking very smart with his plaits and Newmarket rug.
arrived at dressage place, and got tacked up so i could warm up. only i couldnt get near the warm up... we discovered that there was pigs just around the corner and merlin would not move for 10 mins! he was terrifed and so the organiser took pity on us and we had to warm up in the arena
and it took ages to get him settled - this horse used to not know what "tension" was
so in to the first test, which was the pony club dengie qulifier and i thought it was going well, until i forgot where i was going and had to be told
and then i forgot a 2ND time and just carried on trying to get my tense horse to relax whilst i was kicking myself!! but the test was soon over and went to put him away as there was 1h30mins till the next one. to my surprise when i came back i had a score of 63.75%
and had come 3rd so i had qualified
just think what i would have gotten if i hadnt lost 6 marks

so then waited ages till the novice 21 and had to go past the scary pigs!! and warmed up for 10mins. was really no point in warming up as soon as we had to walk past the pigs again he was all tense and had to stand with his head towards the door just to make sure that the pigs wernt after us
and he flinched everyone walked past!!
the test was better, although we broke in canter but at least i remember it! and we havent quite established our medium trot yet so we dont mind that the judge said we were running a bit... check out the vids and any cc is welcome!
