soon ill be doing my first combined training competition and as its been a couple of years since I competed I was thinking I would treat myself to a new jacket. my old one is just togs and I am quite small so it has always been a bit big in general although it isn't a particularly fitted jacket. I've been looking for cheapish ones and the shires ladies aston jacket looks like it has quite a nice fit to it. would anyone be able to tell me if this would be good for someone who is generally small. the other jacket is a size 8/xs so getting a smaller size doesn't seem to be an option.

also considering getting some long boots in the next couple of months as I plan to get my girl out a lot this summer and all my old gear is tatty so if anyone can recommend some as well that would be great. again trying to find ones that have different length options and do a size 3 or 3 1/2.

one other question... as far as I remember I cant wear my martingale for dressage?

Can't be much help on the jackets I am afraid.
Boots- I have some Mark Todd long boots with the laces on front which only cost be about £85 and have done me well for about 4years, nothing fancy but always clean up well.
Nope, afraid you can't use a martingale in dressage. :)

No idea on the jacket i'm affraid. The boots it really depends on your budget, i have a gorgeous pair of Treadstep Donatellos, Ariat Heritage Field Boots and my Broginis just died but they all come in different width/ height fittings and are super smart and comfy. and yes - No martingale for dressage
