After posting about being nervous about doing dressage the other day i thought i would post how we got on.
We rode up to the show and he warmed up well and was very calm so didnt think i would need to do too much. I was doing Intro B walk & trot test.
As we were troting around outside the arena i was having trouble holding him resulting in his head flying up and a few strides of canter.

Was having to hold him back during the test but he did calm down a bit towards the end. I didnt think we had done very well as i know he had been working much better at home but i was pleased with my result of 59% and 8th place

I think we need to do more warming up next time.

well we managed a 1st place 64%. I was so shocked and pleased (But it has to be said my horse is an ex champion show horse so she did all the work looking pretty - i just pointed her in the right direction and tried not to get in the way!)

My old mare hated dressage (i was told she would never 'do' dressage) but we kept at it, with lots of practice and patience we managed to score and get placed fairly regularly in our second season (we'd only ever jumped before and she was 18 when we did our first test together!)

I'd forgotten how nerve racking it is - but doesnt it feel good when you come out!? Really well done!

Well done thats really good

My pony (well i have him on loan) is 16 and has jumped all his life and seems to love it so whenever he goes anywhere he seems to think great jumping but we will keep at it and have another go at dressage.

I was quite nervous but had a caller and it did feel good when i had done it, im off to another show jumping tomorrow
