So we finished the ride
Roo was really good for almost all of it, we did the 10 miles in about 2 hours or so. Mostly laid pathway so mainly walk and trot but we had a couple of really good canters. She had to be a madam and kicked my friend's horse (she's the one who gave me a lift) who luckily is ok, small cut from a glancing blow but ok otherwise. We had a bit of a bronc when I wouldn't let her canter when she wanted to but otherwise, and for the vast majority of it, she was really good. She certainly behaved much better than I expected, apart from those two things.
Really enjoyed the ride, very well organised by the Rotary Club with lots of marshals esp at the couple of road crossings there were.
