I threw myself in to this a few weeks ago, and so very glad i did

I am 37 years old (well 36 at the time) I have never done anything other than a bit of showing in hand

So to me this is a huge acheivement..... not to mention the buzz of doing it.

Ok, so it was only a level 1 Trec competition, but how much did i enjoy it

There were 57 riders in total, 19 pairs and however many other single or assisted riders.

Me and Trentside Annabella were a pair, her on Joe 13.1 welshie and me on Max 18hh WB

We came 6th out of 19 in the pairs, we would have come in the top 3 if we hadn't made a penalty boo boo in the orienteering

BUT, whoop whoop, much to my amazement me and my Moose, won the control of paces with a score of 51 out of 60, against the other 56 horses

We came home with a GORGEOUS ROSETTE.

I now also have to but 3 of the damn photos as it may be a long time before we do anything else. Sadly i don't have my own transport and my boy is too big for standard trailers or boxes so cadging a lift is out of the question

thought I'd come and say hello seeing as no-one has replied! And to say a big WELL DONE!!! 1st out of 56!!!! And you did really well in the pairs too!!
Am I being just being stupid....or can no-one else see pics on the link??
 
Ooh, well done, I've always wanted to have a go but never got round to it. Wish you were nearer, I could offer a lift in return for the required kick up backside that I need to get going!

Hopefully the first of many comps. I know how good you feel as I am also a late starter to this competing lark (at the age of 40).
I have done a couple of dressage tests and some clear rounds but trec sounds good fun. Might have to look into it!
 
Congratulations - you looked good jumping. There were some naughty ponies on that video you must have been really pleased that your horse did it all.

It is such good fun, and has given me new confidence, i would love to go XC now
I love this wonderful horse who has given me back my confidence in horses after some dodgy ones
