Well we bit the bullet and did our first ever prelim test on Saturday. (Prelim 10).
It went well considering he is only 4 (almost 5), and we have only been cantering for 6 weeks.
We struck off on the wrong leg at first, then i tried to correct it on the 20m circle, wrong leg again, then third time lucky we got it, yay.
On the right rein we got it straight away and didn't break in to trot once.
He was such a good boy. We scored 60% exactly, my aim was 60% or above.

Sorry for proud post, but just had to share :D

Yay! Well done.

I shall be having a go in the future now that I have something to do 'stressage' on.

Was practicing with son & pony for combined training event yesterday & I couldn't even keep her inside the arena markers! Doesn't bode well.

Hi, I did my first prelim on Sat, prelim 7, He was good, I fluffed it on the canter! can't wait for another go now. He has been on and off lame for a number of years and is really built to pull a cart not prance around a ring but never mind!

Hey Suki, i have a coblet too, but he has some lovely moves (when he wants to show them off!).
Hey LD, you said you would come next month and i am holding you to that, we jumped the cones on one canter transition so don't worry about that, tee hee
