I've had my new boy 2 weeks and fell off him out hacking today! Its quite windy but he was absolutely fine and we were out with my friend's 4YO who was being really brave and taking the lead most of the time. I took the lead to trot up a hill then walked at the top and started following the track round past this fence post with a small green/white sign of a walking man to show walkers the route to go. It was only about 3inch in diameter. Cooper has seen it before and gone wide around it which he was doing again today but then shot off to the right and left me landing on my arse!
Friend's 4yo spun round to follow Cooper and slipped on the grass, landed on his side and on my friend's foot which was twisted so she came off too. Luckily its not broken but sprained. I've got a sore back as last year I fractured my vertebrae so am gonna have to take some co-codamol.
When we got back to the yard our YO said it is Friday 13th!
