First hack in 3 months!

Ok, so took little coblet out today, a couple of friends boxed over to come with me. He was a little wotsit!

He felt like a bomb about to go off!

He didn't actually go off, thank god!

But was a little fresh to say the least!

Please tell me that my quiet little baby will return...

My boy went out for the first time since boxing day (and sledging on sunday but that was in our field)and my placid cob turned into a bouncing marching freisian but he settled within half hour just remained a bit spooky. I quite liked it having a forward going horse

He will be ok just do loads of walking and remind him of a few manners. Hes just excited.

Sounds like you had fun! He was probably excited as there was also company, and he hadn't been out hacking for a while. My boy is as quiet as a lamb when hacking alone but put him with other horses and my ploddy boy becomes a racehorse(he has racing blood- although you would never guess it)

That said I haven't hacked my boy in two years due to him being injured and then our lorry taking forever to fix- we have to box up to hack, even though we back onto Thetford Forest!

I'm hoping to hack him in next month or so once lorry is taxed again! I don't know who will be more excited me or him.

I lunged Pop for the first time after her winter off on sunday. My usually very calm laid back girl refused to do anything but canter. In the end I just had to give up and let her do as she wished.

hehe i took my 4 yr old for the first time in 5 months, and 3 of that was her turned away... in a new enviroment and with a group.. bless her, she was a star! even popped her first ditch!
