This is a bit of a pointless post but I am very proud of my boy.
I rode him for the first time in over 4 months today, he has had a nice long holiday. I was a little wary about hacking him out as he had been off work for so long and although 9/10 he is good to hack out I expected him to be rather spooky not to mention stressed about leaving his friend which has was when I rode him for the saddler (well just up and down the yard). We only out for about 15 mins, I expected him to stress out about other horses hacking by as he normally wants to join in and finds it rather exciting but he was such a pro. He felt fantastic and really seemed to enjoy himself, I love my little horse so much. We are off to a good start, I am now really looking forwards to bringing him back into work.

Good news!
I know how you feel, cos my mare has been out of work since September because of the saddle. I have had 2 short hacks in our new saddle and she was very good as well.
Which saddle did you go for in the end?

Thats great!!
My youngest daughter had her first hack for a few months yesterday, our old horse has cushings and had laminitis in the summer, shes been riding him in the field for a few weeks, but thats the first hack and she was delighted. It was something i was beginning to wonder if we would see again.

MoggyinManolos - Most defiantly, seems the break has served him well!
