I posted last yr about going riding again, i went twice but still felt to heavy at 14 stone after losing 5 1/2 stone so left it a bit longer. When a friend asked if i wanted to go to the local trekking center for a ride i jumped at the chance and so glad i did. The weather was gorgeous we had a lovely time riding in the New Forest on some lovely horses. Even had a canter, funny how you don't forget to ride :D

So i now have a problem i'm hooked again already lol oh has said no to owning horses again :( but i might be able to convince him about sharing one. I'm going to have a few lessons and more hacks but miss tacking up and grooming first.

So if anyone has any idea's :)

I had the same thing about 6 years ago after a 20 year break. Bug bit again hard. Luckily, my OH was a bit more understanding!
See if you can just increase the riding bit by bit. Stealth is key! ;)
Congrats on the weight loss too. You must be very proud!

I don't need any encouragement already been looking :D Don't really want something that big was looking at a forester 14.2 but don't know whether at 12 stone i would be too heavy still.

Still trying to lose weight in the mean time, would like to be 10 stone 10lbs ::)

14.2 with some decent bone can easily carry you :). Well done on an incredible weight loss. What diet did you follow out of interest.

If your weight loss was due to your incentive to ride, then what better reason for getting your own? It will keep you slim and healthy and above all happy! :)

Well done

My OH didn't want me to buy a horse at first so I had sharers, one was sold after I had got it going without me even being asked if I wanted to buy it. Then I had another one for a while but didn't get on with that one, again found a great one right behind the house, then we moved and by that time OH had got used to me having horses so suggested I got my own :D

Happytohack i have been going to weight watchers ;0)

maybe i could wear the OH down, when i wanted a dog i just went out and got one lol we now have four!!

Riding again was on my mind the whole time while losing weight yes but it was for my health mainly.

Thanks for all the lovely replies ;0)

would love to get back jumping again one day :0)

Congratulations on your weight loss:) a 14'2 forester would carry you fine. I lost 3 1/2 stone to get back in the saddle and hacking out on a day like this is worth all the hard work. Good luck with the rest of your weight loss journey and happy hacking:)
