well its a bit different to the title would suggest but its still a MASSIVE achievement for me

now Marley totally knocked my confidence hacking through his napping and spinning and threatening to rear and me not dealing with the situation correctly.

When i bought Ted i knew he wasnt 100% to hack out at all and i would never be able to hack him out alone, which is fine seeing as i hate hacking alone. My friend has been dying to get me out hacking ever since i lost my confidence with Marley as i love a good hard gallop and plod around the country as much as anyone but i couldnt bring myself to do it.

So..today i bit the bullet and did it!!! No i didnt ride Ted because i knew that if he tensed id panic 10 times more than him and more than likely id end up on my bum. so after about 5 mins of me on him shaking like a leaf we switched and fearless wonderful friend took Ted and i rode her pony. well Ted was a superstar, we had all of two spooks rather lookey and jogged about 4 times. he was a total STAR i couldnt have asked him to be better!!! going to take him around the same hack for about 2 weeks (not everyday) now so he can get used to it before we think about extending our route.

and well i went on my first hack in over 3 months and actually enjoyed it and wasnt overcome by fear. and yes im sad i didnt manage it on Ted but the fact i did it without so much as a whimper from me. im very proud of myself

Good Day

Well dones - I totally sympathise with your confidence issues. Most of us have been there and got the T shirt. Befoe you know it you'll be hacking Ted and enjoying every minute of it

i did this with raff for our first few hacks, as i had zero confidence.

my confident friend took him, and i took her horse.

then, randomly, half way round, she turned to me and said "i want to ride my horse"... i couldn't exactly say 'no'... so we swapped and it was great. it meant i wasn't worrying about the swap as it came out of the blue.

and actually, raff is a million times safer and nicer than her horse anyway!

hehe, bless her. she missing someone to muck around with??
there have been several occasions ive come down in the morning to find my poo picker somewhere different to where i left it of headcollars on the floor, i think he has parties every night lol.

i cant wait till ive got the bottle to get on him. hes such a fab horse and hes come on leaps and bounds in his work already and well its fair to say his current favourite thing to do is boss Marley around the field, theyre both a pair of show offs and posers
