Gah. Suspect hosrefly due to its rapidly growing size. It complained about my spray on jeans tonight (seriously, you could see my ovaries!) And now burns like hell.

Its bheind my knee on the tendon. Horrid bugs.

Please share your bug prevention methods.

Ouch :( Hope it gets well soon. I'm very reactive and usually get a few bad ones like that through the summer. I find taking 3 antihistamines as needed, and smothering it in tea tree oil helps. Also cold compresses.

I use what I make for my pony. Avon Skin So Soft dry oil spray is brilliant. They are half price at the moment, £2.50, I ordered 4 bottles yesterday. I usually mix that with some citronella, eucalyptus citriodora, and last year I bought Neem oil for my girls anti bite preps. and I ended up making myself a spray and cream like hers. I was doing some field chores yesterday between 4.30 and 6.30pm and my head was bitten to ******y by midges despite having a baseball cap on  so this afternoon I am going to be cooking up our first batch of anti fly stuff. We might smell a bit odd (personally I love it) but it does the job.

I haven't seen any horseflies yet (touch wood), and when some one posted a video on here yesterday went to swat a mozzie, I thought "Wow! first mozzie of the season! The bees only started coming out of hibernation last weekend"..
