Just had to write a ‘proud mummies post’ as me (On Bodey) and GinaGem (on Gem) did our first ever pairs hunter trial yesterday and we were placed 5th out of 15. It was only the mini novice (2ft-2ft3) but apart from one refusal from Gem (there was a jump with a plastic teapot on it next to the one we were jumping) both the horses flew (literally as Bodey felt like he was jumping 4ft at times). We even made it over the water jump without any hesitation!

We were both grinning from ear to ear yesterday.

Also there was some jumping going on in the indoor school while the hunter trial was going on so decided to do the bottom hole jumping on Bodey, and he went clear so we got a rosette and a trophy. Bodey hadn’t even jumped more then about 5 Showjumps in a row before and had never been in an indoor school so I was well chuffed with him. You wouldn’t have thought he was only 4, he was so well behaved.
We are trying to find out whether there was a photographer there as we didn’t see an obvious one.
