Question for the Scots. Out of the events I went to last year Auchinleck is looking like the nicest 1st Intro, but having missed a few I was wondering if there are any nicer late season ones?

Hoping DA will make it to one this season, but I won't be rushing him.

I've only done one intro which was at Burgie. It was very straight forward. Aswanly is a lovely course and not that big but it has lots of ditches and a little more technical than Burgie.

If you're looking for something a bit closer to home then Scone are doing another Intro in August or you could go for Gleneagles which is a lovely first Intro. Very straightforward.

Don't do Strathallan as a first - too technical for green horses (in my opinion). Or Hendersyde, unless you want something very up to height and with lots of twists and turns.

i echo NJ- hendersyde is very much up to height and Strathallen is rather challenging with regards to technical side of it. I cant remember the scone intro- but you have ran it last year so you will remember, gleneagles is the best i think, what about oatridge?

Thanks everyone, did Strathallan last year & really enjoyed it but defo not a first time.

I think Auchinleck was easier than Scone last year, and will definitely not be going near Oatridge again, it was awful!

Think if he's not ready for Auchinleck it will be Gleneagles.

Thanks
