Following on from my post a few weeks ago regarding itchy dogs. Took them both to vet, both had mange. So skin scrape to confirm and Advocat on back of neck and a few weeks on and all is back to normal. All was well until last week when he jumped for his ball and then stood fixed to the spot, did not want to move at all. Took to vets and he has soft tissue damage in his neck and has Rymadil tablets for a week. Anyone else had this type of injury? He is a lot better in himself and has perked up a lot since last week but still not his normal self. He is back at vets on Friday for a check up.

My dog did his back a few months ago, all you can do is supply anti-inflammatories and rest him, hard I know for an active dog!
If he is normally walked in a collar then I would switch to a harness to give his neck a rest in the meantime.

I personally am a bit more careful about letting mine do crazy mid-air twisting for balls or toys although mine took a running jump from a great height and crash-landed. He is back jumping again but I watch him like a hawk!

Hope he perks up soon x
