Hi,
was just wondering if anyone could give me some info and advice about the events Berkshire College and Great Tew for a first time Novice combination.
Have not been to either of these events before so have no idea . What are the xc courses like and how is the going normally? And most importantly would they be suitable for first timers?
Thanks x

I've done Great Tew and would definitely recommend it for a first time novice. The xc is really nice, not too big or technical and the going last year was perfect! It's such a nice event i'm going again this year for sure!!

Hijack alert, sorry! I was also contemplating one of these for my first Novice. I have done PN at Berks but not been to GT. I'd like a course where I can point, kick and not have to do too much slowing and turning! Do you know which of these would fit the bill the most? GT, from the sounds of things? Thanks!

Definately Great Tew, its a beautiful venue, the course is fair - ideal for first timers imo - and the ground is well looked after - BCA ground always rutted and normally ends up being quite hard too.
If you go i'll see you there, fingers crossed taking my new boy to do his 2nd PN there
:)

Hi Guys sorry to *hijack* - we are closer to BCA but are worried about the ground - is Great Tew a nice BE100 for a ponio who has not long moved up to that level?
