Hi I
My daughter competed in her first ever ODE today and I am very proud. We have had a lot of problems with her pony with rearing and napping that I never thought today would be possible. We only decided to do the event today on Wednesday giving daughter and pony 2 days to practice dressage. I wasn't holding much hope.
Got to the event and tacked up etc and daughter prepared for dressage, went into the arena and trotted round a few times then started her test, all kept thinking was please behave which he did.
Did the show jumping which he for 8faults for two refusals then untracked and waited for cross country.
At this point daughter went to check out her dressage score and came back upset cos she got what she thought was a rubbish mark, so off I went to get the test sheet to be td yes she had got the lowest mark but that was good, they managed to get a dressage score of 72.17 in there first ever test.
Then onto the cross country well it started well then they went behind a mound and couldn't be seen all I heard was the most horrible scream, the next minute daughter comes round the corner with blood pouring from her mouth, quickly work out her tooth has gone through her lip and calm her down, then she carries on with blood pouring all over her to compalette her course to cone 8th out of 32.
Anyway a bit of a pointless post to some but I gave never been so proud of both pony and daughter as I have today even though next time I could do without the blpod lol xx
