im off to royal london on fri (soooo excited) never been to an over nite show before so i dont really know what to expect??
anybody got any tips for me what to take other than usual show stuff???
has anybody else been or going????

Make sure you take enough changes of clothes in case you keep getting wet and enough bedding to keep warm. I ended up with the new zealand my bed at Arena Uk on Friday as it was so much colder than I thought.

We are going too. Dont forget to take something glitzy to wear in case you make into the evening championship.

We are coming from Guernsey so literally have to take everything.

Have been going for last 3 years and its great fun, hope to meet you, i will have a little piebald shetland that will probably spend most of his time on his back legs for the first day. you just have to love them.

Are you not going for the championship classes cause if i remember rightly Friday is the warm up show, and if you qualify in that then you can go into the other classes for the championship show.

i have already quailifed for cob class which is on fri i think...i hope!!!!
the cob champs is on sunday i think im sure i wont get that far

yep im riding friday...phew!!!!
there is a warm up cob class fri too, im not doin that tho
think the winners stay til sunday for evening performance not sure!

I'd just take the stuff you use day to day. Not much help I'm afraid

Exciting! Genie qualified for the cob, but didn't enter cos of transport... Have now bought a horsebox so could have gone! We definately wouldn't have got past Friday though so I'm not too worried! Happy to have qualified!

Hope it goes well! Normal showing stuff plus LOTS of clothes, toilet paper (a MUST as it's bound to run out), drinks and food (to save money), can you buy hay and bedding on site? Feed for horse, mucking out tools possibly?

Never been to Royal London, but had my first weekend away at RC Champs at the beginning of August with a friend who insisted we took the wheelbarrow (she's an old hand at camping with horses!). I thought she was mad but was so glad we took it, not only for feed, bedding, hay etc, but it was really useful taking all of the tack, kit, grooming gear etc from the lorry to the stables. Good luck and have fun!
