Thank you! he's a TB x ID, only had him cut 6 weeks ago, he was a bit late maturing in the head so i didnt start with him till he was 5, best thing i did was to leave him, i've never ridden such an easy and willing to please horse!!! no silliness you normally get with youngsters!!
well i think that ur sister or whoever it was that u put the post about the other day should be jelous of you not the other way round,as he is stunning and youve done a great job by the looks of it
i was lucky with his colour, he came out that colour and stayed the same!! everyone said he'd lighten up but he's got darker if anything!! i'm going to try to find the first pic i took of him, you can tell its him!!
thank you so much for being nice, i was so worried everyone would think he was a dobbin so i put off posting them for a week!! it took a while to get him sorted but i'm glad i persivered!!! when people told me the best thing they did was to raise a foal i didnt believe them but now i've done it i know what they mean!! it makes you so protective of them though!! cant cope with anyone knocking him!! haha!! feel like a proud mum!!!!!!
he's out of Embla Alfred (local ID) out of an unregistered tb mare i had given me because she was going to be put down!! it was pure luck really, a girl i know told me she was upset because she had to have her mare put down because she had nowhere to keep her (she was a nasty sod at times!) she couldnt put her in with others so i said i'd have her to breed from, didnt think it would actually happen but the next week she rang and told me she was on her way!! eek!!!
i put her in foal and had blade then unfortunately she had a heart attack in the field when he was 10 months old! shame for her but at least she had a good life in the end!! she was a right character!!!! proper madam!!!!!
yeah i had this problem when i first hogged him, he suffers really bad from sweet itch, poor bugger drives himself mad!! hogging him makes it loads easier, the relief on his face when i first did it was great!! it grows so quickly though, i have to do it every other week, it grows about an inch by then!! its like he's got muck in his shoes making it grow!! haha!!!
i'm going to tackle his tail next, its so thick its mad!! its the first year he's had a full tail, i tried every thing before but he just rubbed it out! didnt realise how thick it was!! i'll post some more pics of him when its done! i wanted to show him originally, was told he was good enough but not a big fan of the showing lark, got friends who produce and its so much who you know!! think i'm going to stick to dressage, just set myself up with a teacher for lower level then hoping to have Lee Pearson for when he gets a bit better, he's only up the road from me!!
