This week I've done 3 things I didn't think I'd be able to do I know this is nothing major compared to what some of you do, but I must confess I'm quite proud of myself haha
Firstly, I took my lovely mare Rio to some local evening dressage (unfortunately no pictures for this ). Despite an extremely boggy indoor arena (seriously, how) she went well to win the elementary, but I was shocked to receive an 8 for my riding Yes, it was unaffiliated, but this is the same judge who 6 months ago gave a very nervous and out of practice me a 6 at novice level! Cue many polos for super pony I think she just makes me look good!
Picture of her looking pretty (yes I am camera shy lol!) All pictures were taken by my Mum and I have permission to post!

Next, it was our homebred Welsh/TB/Warmbloods 4th birthday. She's been sat on a handful of times by a pro 6 months ago but not done much since. She's going away to be properly ridden on hopefully within the next week, but having had no problems reintroducing her to tack, I got on her yesterday to prove she wasn't a nutcase! If you'd asked me even a month ago if I'd ever get on a barely backed horse I would've laughed at you, but this mare is incredibly sweet.
Tacked up and ready to go! Yes, she is a scruffy baby In the process of pulling her mane and getting rid of the grass belly!

The black patch is actually a sooty patch and not dirt As you can see she was so bothered about being sat on that she's resting a back foot!

Walking away! Didn't realise until I got on that my stirrups were a hole too long! And my hand is scratching her neck.

We only went for a little walk, but I was very proud of her she didn't put a foot wrong!
Finally, in a moment of madness I decided to jump Rio I used to jump BSJA, however 2 rather nasty falls meant I swore I'd never jump again (or at least not more than 6 inches, from a trot) and Rio has not done much jumping herself! I'm aware this fence is all of about 70cm but she flew it from canter! Excuse the dressage saddle and stirrups XD
