With my horse having tendonitis this year, then me being pregnant I've not ridden properly since January. I didn't ride after being 32 weeks in August, and then only in walk and I felt like a giddy kid getting back on today, was fantastic! :D

Trying to rehab into being barefoot so taking things steady, but so far so sound and even had a mini canter on one of the nice village verges :D :D

Sorry, pointless post, but so many times I've thought my horse just wasnt cut out for a ridden life, and a small part of me is waiting for the next lameness, but at least it's costing less with no shoes! :)

Thanks! I think even the dirty furry yeti beast that my horse currently is even enjoyed himself, even had a couple of spooks. His feet even clop quite satisfyingly even with no shoes.

Best bit was I'm so out of practise I forgot my hat, so had to borrow my sisters and my sister had to use my mums :D

What a lovely post Tinselface. 11 months is a long time stay on the ground, I get withdrawal if I can't ride for more than a couple of days.
Unless there is a reason to put shoes on, let the furry one stay unshod.

Thanks, no intention of putting shoes on anytime soon, will try hoof boots first in that instance :)

I'm really looking forward to jumping again!! :D
