Was finally able to get back on kenny today!! It's a week today since he came back from the vets after his colic and that's how long they said to give him off. The 2 months is due to him having a (useless) lavage in his eye. So I tacked him up and stuck him on the lunge to take the 'edge' off him (he's been full of it for days, obviously feeling better now he doesn't have a whopping great tube growing into his eyelid! Sorry ill stop ranting about this.. Again). So of course we had a hissy fit because the stirrups were scary scary! When he seemed to have gotten over his little drama I bit the bullet and got on
There really is nothing like riding your own horse! I've been so lucky in that I've nearly always had a horse to ride whilst kenny's been off but it's just not the same! We just had a potter round with some bending and circles and some gentle long and low work. But my he has lost some muscle
I was expecting it but didn't expect it to feel like I'm sat on a fence post! Bless him. Anyway, we've got the summer together so lets kick on!
Ps his eye is looking very good! Stitches out today and no gunk since last week! And that's with no treatment!
