So as any FB lurkers will know Raf is off games this year after banging his SDFT in the lorry trying to turn himself round and getting in a knot. so a year off with a few mares to cover and re scan in October but he looks sound and he leg is cold and hard so fingers crossed!

we were lucky enough to acquire Sprout just before Xmas as a fairly raw but well handled 3yo and he was a doddle to back (home 21.12.21 and plodding up and down the drive by 03.01.22!)

He's a bit more of a macho stallion than Raf....Raf bless him would prefer food over women, mates over women, galloping over women.....Sprout has a more carefree approach and would be happy with a mare/gelding/sheep/goat lol

we did passage and piaffe our way to the warm up, screaming, with a vertical tail but as soon as he stepped foot in the warm up he took a breath and chilled out (as he always does as soon as he has a mate) and was actually very easy to warm up...............sadly as the only 4yo pony we then had to go in to the big scary indoor alone so he tightened up again and did a lot of shouting to his NEW BEST FRIEND and wasn't relaxed enough to do more than 4 steps of walk.

but loads of positives-did everything i asked, didn't get nappy to his mates, stayed really nicely in front of my leg and got all his transitions, and had an easy confidence boosting go round that will only have done him good :)

hopefully he will have a FRIEND in the next one in two weeks and that might lower the volume and frequency of the shouting lol!

happy with 6.54 despite tension and "walk barely shown".

aww thank you, i try! we found him on FB and i was lucky that his breeder held him for 2 weeks until i could get time off work to go and collect him as she had other very interested parties.
Hopefully a couple more tests under his belt and he will start to realise doing a test alone isn't so scary.

He is a Welsh C. Bay with 4 whites and a blaze. We gelded him at christmas but he's yet to get the memo. He is a fun little character to have around. IMHO he's a very handsome boy, and he walks with a swagger like he knows it!

A Welsh with a swagger? Never!!!

He's a smashing looking pony Hallo - I follow you on FB and he's come on so well so quickly

You have such a good reputation and anyone who is selling would know you are going to such a good job, he will be absolutely fine after a few test can't wait to see his progress ?
