Took Emil to local RC show today for showing classes
Well to say I'm over the moon doesn't begin to describe it. He unloaded and was only a little excited. Walked round, good as gold. Lunged for a few mins as I knew he would be fresh. Again good lad. He wasn't sure about cantering as never worked on grass before, but he tried
Stood by lorry like an old timer while I tacked up and got on. Was very forward but obedient
Did riding horse first as practice. Ground was very unlevel but What a star. Did everything asked politely.
Came 2nd wahoo
Hunter class. Well he said oh I know what I'm doing so was a little onward bound but polite. In canter Had a stumble in the dip and it looked like he bucked but actually was sorting his back legs out. Came 3rd judge said would have won without the 'buck'
He really lived up to his name (saint Emil).
Absolutely chuffed to bits
Dressage next weekend
