I'm so pleased with my little mare as she went really well - bless her - despite it being a lot bigger than I'd imagined.
She warmed up well and seemed quiet enough. I didn't jump too much in the warm up as advised by my instructor.
We went into the ring and jumped fences 1 - 4 no problem but she then stuck her head in the air and tried rushing into fence 5 so I pulled her up and turned a circle doing walk/trot transitions and then completed the rest of the course no problems. The only thing she did "wrong" was put a massive jump into the double and we didn't have enough room for a proper stride - but she just fiddled her feet and then popped out like it was nothing, near enough bouncing it.
But on the whole I am so so pleased with her and the way she went - will probably be going back next week for another attempt - hopefully might not need to turn a circle next time.
And thanks to all the people on here that gave me some moral support this morning - you obviously helped (and pidge - I'm afraid there was some chanting going on
)
